The bear track stitch meets a lace-weight alpaca in this airy scarf. Despite it’s name, this stitch pattern is feminine, lacy and reversible. Perfect for a scarf! While the standard reversible stitches are nice, like basket weave and garter stitch, this stitch pattern is quickly becoming my go-to for scarves.
Now that my beautiful locally-sourced alpaca has become a scarf, it’s time to move on to my Knit Picks City Tweed yarn that arrived last week. 8 (100 gram) balls should be enough to do a large swatch and knit up a full-sized cabled sweater.
The question becomes – what type of construction? Top-down or pieced? Set-in sleeve, raglan, or drop shoulder? Cardigan or pullover? I’m excited to get started. Hopefully, the swatch will tell me what kind of sweater this yarn wants to be.
